Mar Moreno

I am an explorer of life. I feel a deep attraction to the wild nature of the human being, and I tend to immerse myself in it, paying attention to the traces that adaptation leaves within society.

MISSION

To recover our original state. To be wild.

That is, to live in a natural, original state.

We are part of a social structure that has disconnected us from our essence over generations. This disconnection produces various effects on all our systems: biological, mental, emotional and spiritual.

My purpose is to recover the intelligence of our perception systems: biological functions we share with wild nature. To reactivate integral perception —body, instinct and intuition— by developing inner listening (interoception), spatial orientation (proprioception), the reading of environments (neuroception) and intuitive cognition: essential biological capacities we have gradually deactivated.

25 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

More experience than qualifications. More results than books.

My training and professional work combine method and years of real practice, international group leadership, and a deep immersion in ancestral wellness traditions. This is what underpins every session and every retreat:

Group leadership and guiding: Tour Leader guiding groups in the wilderness across Europe, America and Morocco. Environmental educator in my early career.

Training in Transpersonal psychology and Mindfulness. Biodecoding, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Ericksonian Hypnosis.

Training in body and somatic work, Rebirthing, Sophrology meditation, Hapkido martial art, Qigong & Sondo meditation, Namikoshi Shiatsu, contact dance, biodanza, ecstatic dance, 5 Rhythms, improvisation, dances of the world, chamber choir — as ways of body regulation and non-verbal expression.

Specialisation in sound as a therapeutic tool: healing sound with quartz bowls, Pythagorean tuning forks, Mongolian harmonic chanting.

Organisation and direction of spiritual and nature retreats.

COMPLEMENTARY PRACTICES AND TRADITIONS

These disciplines broaden and enrich the framework above — they are the experiential and ancestral part of my journey, learned in direct contact with their own traditions:

Nature and tradition: Natural horsemanship and horse coaching, macrobiotics, medicinal plants.

Shamanism and ancestral traditions: Temazcal medicine, shamanic drum, indigenous cosmovision, vision quest, ceremonies and rituals (without entheogens) with different tribes of indigenous peoples: Hopi, Lakota, Maya, Havasupai, Cherokee, Dene, Sikhs.

Exploration of consciousness: Osho meditations, Tantra, quantum meditation (Joe Dispenza & Bruce Lipton), sacred geometry and Merkaba meditation (Drunvalo Melchizedek), geobiology, metaphysics.

ABOUT ME

I was born in October 1969 by the Mediterranean Sea in Almería, Spain. I grew up and developed in nature, with the contrast of the sea and the mountains, walking barefoot every day, feeling the warmth of the stones and the sand in summer, the cold of the sea water and the streams in winter. The earth is my home, the whisper of the wind is my guide, the sun my reference, the water the memory of my existence.

The eldest of a large family of mountain lovers, and mother of a daughter.

I have travelled and enjoyed experiences, relationships and places as rich in flavours, smells, colours and sounds as nature itself.

From the age of 50, I have lived in two places: Cabo de Gata Natural Park in Almería, my ancestral homeland and Mediterranean desert; and the Xurés / Gerês Reserve, my personal retreat land for 20 years, among mountains, waterfalls and thermal waters.

MY ESSENCE

Exploration through experience and the contrast of perceptions of reality are the tendency of my nature.
